Did someone say Arthop?

Arthop in Downtown Fresno Occurs the first Thursday of every month.

This months Arthop was packed with things to do! To begin my night, I ventured into Chinatown to check out Full Circle Brewery’s Bomb the City event. This featured live paintings from local graffiti artists such as Newka from Lords crew, Atoms, and even Knistt. This isnt the first time Full Circle has hosted this event, so keep your eyes peeled for the next one.

Next, I stopped by The Thrift Demon located off of Fresno and Broadway, right off of Fulton Street next to The Crest Theater. If you are looking for vintage 90’s gear, dope fur coats or sunglasses he has you covered! Thrift Demon also loves to collab with other vendors, if you’re lucky you can catch multiple pop ups in front of the store. You can always catch a set from your favorite LMC Djs Kitty Snack and Makle Djing outside the shop as well.

All this art hopping was making me hungry, so i decided to stop in next door to one of my favorite restaurants in town, Libelula. I didn’t have to go far, seeing as it is on the other side of The Crest Theater, just look for the dragonfly. You cant miss it! The thing I love about Libelula is the farm to table freshness of the food. They have new specials almost weekly and feature many vegan, vegetarian options as well. I had been dying to try the mushroom pot pie and it did not disappoint. My friend Ashley went with the Vegan Eel. Their usual hours of operation are Monday-Saturday from 9am-3pm but for Arthop they stay open until around 9pm.

Next up on my places to be, people to see was Tioga Sequoia Brewery. Fresmo was hosting an event to raise money and awareness for prostate and testicular cancer as well as mental health. This event featured music from Le Wolves, Zee WIll, Brian Cade, Spiritbolt and Kasino Kam.

For my last stretch I headed down towards Warnors theater and stopped by Root General for their 4 Year Anniversary. Across the street KJewl Studios had amazing art and a live band.

My last stop was Broadway Studios on Broadway and Tuolumne St. What makes this place different? Broadway Studios has over 20 different rooms that various artists rent from month to month. You walk into this building and its like walking into a community full of inspiration. Its an amazing place for anyone to showcase their work.

Don’t miss out on next month’s Arthop which will take place December 5th. And be sure to check back next week, I will be covering FresnoStreetEats NOODLES edition.
